About Us

Social Speakers is the brainchild of Chari Siegel and Haviva Kranz, two well respected and experienced speech-language pathologists with a combined 30+ years of experience.  Throughout their careers their services have positively changed the social and communication skills of numerous children from birth through adolescents.

Social Speakers utilizes a combination of various approaches and techniques to enhance your child’s speech, language and social needs.  Social Speakers prides itself on our unique team approach for evaluations and treatment.  Evaluations are conducted with a minimum of two certified speech language pathologists who work together to provide the most comprehensive assessment of each individual child.  We are skilled in creating individual therapy sessions which incorporate   Natural Environment Teaching, Applied Behavior Analysis, Verbal Behavior and Social Thinking ®.

Our philosophy is that children need to link language with social skills in order to be successful communicators.  For a child to have good social skills, they first need to have a strong foundation in language development.  At Social Speakers, we believe that in order for a child to change their social behavior, they need to develop an awareness of their deficits with regard to behavior and social skills.  This increased awareness is a fundamental component of their ability to develop self-monitoring skills and ability to modify their social behavior so they are able to integrate themselves into meaningful social situations.

We know firsthand that children learn in different ways.  Therefore, we create an individualized curriculum, which is tailored to each child’s specific learning style.  We are skilled at identifying a child’s strengths and weaknesses and developing a specific treatment plan to help your child to reach their highest potential both academically and socially.  Our approach identifies and utilizes your child’s most effective modalities of learning (visual, auditory, verbal) while building on your child’s strengths and specifically targeting each area of weakness to help them succeed as effective communicators.
